Very yummy. Very friendly. Very worth! My guy psyched us with the mochiko chicken! Soooo much!!! And sooo yummyyyyy! Mochiko chicken isn't on the menu anymore, but it might be the daily special!! Their Mac salad is also pretty good. I've also tried some other menu items like their furikake chicken and also thought it was solid. highly recommend!

So this was a few months back but I forgot to make the review. I picked up my younger brother from school and wanted to take him out to eat as he goes to South west HS. Being in close range I asked him if we wanted some Hawaiian food and we stumbled upon island flavor. The lady who took care of us was really nice and showed us their best plates so we went ahead and got the Mix plate for myself and the Furikake chicken for my brother. The place itself looks very Hawaiian and the music just makes it a tad bit more islander vibes. The price is a bit steep but worth the money forsure! Mix plate - so in this mix plate I chose to have BBQ Chicken and Kalua Pork. The rice was nice and moist as it isn't dry at all. The Mac salad was amazing as the establishment serves high quality Hawaiian food. The kalua pork was nice and rich in flavor, the chicken itself was nice and sweet as well as juicy and not overly cooked. Furikake chicken - so as I said in my mix plate review the rice and the Mac salad were phenomenal. The chicken itself is like to die for. I am a sucker for Furikake chicken and this place has the bar high with theirs. Love it. Food - 10 / 10 Service - 10 / 10 Setting - 10 /10 Total - 10 / 10

Have always liked some flavor to the island :) Island Flavor is one of our faves from the Hawaiian list of restaurants here in Vegas. For dinner I enjoyed a flavorful Loco Moco with the tasty hamburger patty and sunny side up eggs. My family liked the savory garlic shrimp and I must say one of the freshest chicken Katsu delicacies in town. We ordered our meal for delivery and these Hawaiian meals hit the spot. Get some flavor at Island Flavor the next time you're craving some succulent Hawaiian flavorful eats!

Delicious food and great service. The garlic shrimp and teriyaki steak were BOMB. The chicken katsu and pork fried rice were really yummy as well. I love the option to try multiple options in a mixed plate. Lots of food and good value for the money. Eating here really felt like eating in a little cafe in Hawaii :) I can't wait to come back here when in the area!

I just want to preface this review by saying that I am by all means no culinary expert. Majority of my reviews are based on how tasty the food is and how it makes me feel. Much like the food experience in Hawaii, it is shared with family and friends, as eating a meal becomes more of a sign of caring and love. On that token, it's funny how poor customer service can make food actually taste bad based on the experience. We ordered take out and I came in on a Monday night with about 5 families dining in and one person in the front. I was not greeted and there was one person waiting for her food. I stood there waiting and several mins later someone else entered behind me and she was helped before me. I then approached her and saw my food that was ready to pick up by simply saying my name, without any form of verification (could someone else have picked up my food?). The Furikake chicken, a dish I have been eating here for years, actually did taste amazing and almost better than I have had in the recent past. The Mac salad is on point. The pork fried rice, however, is lacking visually as the shoyu was sparse and not spread out. You can see majority of white rice not even touched with soy sauce. It almost seems as if it was rushed. The ambiance is very much the same as I have visited about 2 years ago and very homey with dark tinted windows. I believe my experience would have warranted a 5/5 star rating given that the service was accommodating and welcoming and more attention to the fried rice. 4/5 stars for great Furikake Chicken and Mac salad. Great opportunity for improvement!

Island Flavor has been flagged in my Yelp Las Vegas collection for way to long for me to be eating there only now. My bad. Despite thousands of reviews on Yelp, on the Sunday night this week my husband and I stopped in for dinner around maybe 5:30pm, there was not another patron in the entire place. As the time clicked by, a few more dine-in people showed up and clearly a robust to-go operation was observed. The staff was certainly welcoming, perky and low key (seems very Hawaiian style that way). If dining-in, grab a seat and they will take your order from the table. My husband went with the "Local Favorites," selecting Furikake Chicken and Chicken Katsu (the two items our waitress indicated were the two most popular items off the menu). I went with the "Pupu" menu and ordered Ahi Poke Made Your Way - Shoyu style. We also ordered a spam musubi and a fried spam musubi. The poke was not exceptional. Had more of the texture of "just unfrozen" and the meals ensemble came with too many green and white onions (seemed like an exceptional amount of them really, as if they needed a "filler" to make up for too little poke). Compared to other poke options around the valley (I enjoy poke, so I feel like I know enough to compare), there was less actual fish than I would have expected. Lots of onions, less fish....maybe not the right balance for this dish. But in getting my negative comment out of the way first, my husband said his chicken items were good. Fresh, hot, not overcooked. This meal had a significantly large portion on his plate as well, enough to take home and enjoy another big meal the next day. The macaroni salad was good and the rice was well made too. The fried musubi was something new to us, but it definitely added a different layer to the experience of enjoying the simplicity of musubi. So maybe a Hawaiian eatery to us that does an excellent job on the meats like chicken, roast pork, pig versus poke, we enjoyed our meal and the staff, so we would return.

Whew-- 5/5 stars for the flavors, service, and portions! I wish I knew about this place earlier. Nonetheless, wow. Come hungry. I didn't finish everything but I sure did love my take home lunch the next day. We were given an appetizer of what looked like cut up fish cake and mayo served with Ritz crackers. Yummy simple appetizer to hold us over. The main meal consisted of kalbi short ribs and chicken... and I made sure to get an extra scoop of mac salad. Yum yum yum. Incredibly flavorful meat! I'm thinking maybe I could've had a third scoop of mac salad because I pretty much devoured it. So so good. For dessert, we had guava cake and haupia cake. Both on par. Omg. I cannot finish everything! If you're shame, I guess you could share but why would you do that?
